Miss Tourism 2012 Beauty Contest in Yangon, Myanmar

The 18 years old, Moe Thin Chae is the new Miss Tourism 2012 for Myanmar. She was selected from 18 contestants in the Miss Tourism 2012 Beauty Pageant which was held on 4 March 2012 at National Theatre, Yangon. The pageant was organized by Myanmar Travel Association (UMTA) and Inforithm-maze Company to promote tourism in Myanmar. Poe Ei Phyu Zin and A Mee Lay @ Thiri Latt won 1st Runners-Up and 2nd Runners-Up Awards respectively.

Kroeung people live in the Northeast of Cambodia in Rattanakiri province where there are rich supplies of natural resources. They make their living by hunting, and farming. Like the Phnorng Villagers, Animism was being practiced by them as well. Their females have the right and freedom to choose whom they are going to get married.

Most Cambodians are Theravada Buddhists of Khmer extraction, but the country also has a substantial number of predominantly Muslim Cham, as well as ethnic Chinese, Vietnamese and small animist hill tribes.

Agriculture has long been the most important sector of the Cambodian economy, with around 59% of the population relying on agriculture for their livelihood (with rice being the principal crop). Garments, tourism, and construction are also important, yielded, foreign visitors to Angkor Wat numbered more than 4 million. In 2005, oil and natural gas deposits were found beneath Cambodia's territorial waters, and once commercial extraction begins in 2011, the oil revenues could profoundly affect Cambodia's economy.Observers fear much of the revenue could end up in the hands of the political elites if not monitored correctly.

The only thing permanent in life is change. Preparing for Travel to Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is a lush island, referred to by many as a tropical paradise. Vaccinations. It is very important that you get the appropriate vaccinations before you leave for Sri Lanka. Be sure you are up to date with your polio, tetanus, hepatitis A & B, typhus, and yellow fever vaccinations. As well, bring some malaria pills with you, especially if you are traveling during the rainy season (when mosquitoes are most abundant).

Pack light-weight clothing in breathable fabrics so that you don’t get overwhelmed (or overtaken) by the weight of the Sri Lanka air. Mobile phones. Leave your phone at home. Your cheapest option (as compared to bringing your mobile phone and getting roaming charges) is to purchase a mobile phone while in Sri Lanka. Mobile phones are relatively inexpensive in Sri Lanka, and you can get a pay-as-you-go plan with any of Sri Lanka’s four major providers – Dialog, Mobitel, CellTel, and Hutchison Telcom – to use just while on your vacation. Additionally, minute recharge cards are available at any of the island’s convenience stores, making the pay-as-you-go plan a major traveling convenience.
Disembarkation form. Sri Lanka has only one airport, and it is often packed. Fill out your disembarkation form before you land in Sri Lanka so that you can bypass the crowds and head straight to the Immigration officers who will clear you for entry into your destination land.
